Current Favorites!

Hey guys!

Today I wanted to share with you the things, beauty related and not, that i’ve been loving over the past weeks. Let’s jump right in.

Okay, so i’ll start with the beauty related items.

ImageImageImage

The NARS one night stand blush palette. I absolutely love this. It has a bronzer, highlighter, and four blush shades. The Highlighter is a new shade, a sandy goldish white color. The bronzer is none other than Laguna, a matte warm bronzer. The blush shades are Angelika, a bright pink with flecks of glitter, Deep throat, a light peachy gold, Orgasm, their famous peachy pink, and Sin, a deep rose gold. So pigmented and easy to use.

$65, Sephora

Next is the eyeshadow palette featured in my last tutorial. The Too Faced “All of my Favorite Things” palette.

ImageImageImageImage

It has a wide range of super rich and pigmented eyeshadows for every occasion. It also comes with a pink plush as well as a peach one. Also, a large pan of their famous “Chocolate Soleil” bronzer, and the Sun Bunny duo bronzing powder.

Next, I’ve been loving th NAKED basics palette by Urban Decay for carving out my crease.

ImageImage

Nice neutral shades for a variety of looks, and the Urban Decay shadows are ALWAYS the best.

Next are my Tweezers. The Tweezerman tweezers are great for….. their purpose! haha

I’ve also been loving the Bobbi Brown eyeshadow in Toast, and the Long wear cream shadow in Sandy Gold.

Now moving on to Non beauty related items, I’ve been loving my Crosley Executive Record Player. Vinyl is making a comeback!

You can also turn Vinyl music into digital with this record player.

Here’s what I’ve been playing most often:

The Beatles “Blue” album:

Katy Perry’s Prism:

and Lana Del Rey’s Paradise:

Next, I’ve been loving my custom Beatles Collage phone case that I created on Skinit.com ! They’re not too expensive, and you get a completely CUSTOM phone case for almost any model of phone. Mine is the Gold 5s. You can upload your own pictures to create your case.

Now that we’re on the subject of phones, I’ve also been loving my wallpapers. My lock screen is a VW bus with some psychedelic scenery, and my home screen is… drumroll please, THE BEATLES WEARING FURRY COATS.

Yes, I know I have a TON of unread emails. HAHA

So that’s what I’ve been loving! Hope you enjoyed this!

Majestic Purple Eye Ft. Disney Jasmine Palette!

Hi lovelies!

Today I wanted to show you how I do this fun purple eye. It looks a bit scary, but the way the colors are blended makes this very wearable and flattering! I’ll show you some tips to make sure you don’t get the “Bruised” effect that some purple eyeshadows can give you. These colors are all from the Disney Sephora Jasmine Palette which I mentioned in my Colors Of The Rainbow Tag! Let’s jump right in.

CORRESPONDING VIDEO: Majestic Purple Makeup!

Image

ImageImage

Okay, so the first step, as always, is primer. For this step I wanted something that would create a blank canvas, so I used the MAC Painterly Paint Pot.

Image

Next, I want to apply a white base to my brow bone, inner corner, and inner three-fourths of my lid to help the purples really pop. For this I’m using the NYX eyeshadow base in white, found at ULTA.

Image

Now blend that out with your finger.

Image

For a browbone highlight, I’m using the color in the palette called “Ali Ababwa”.

Image

Image

For an inner corner highlight, I want to use a bright shimmery shade with a yellow undertone. The yellow will counteract the purple and save your eyes from looking bruised, which can happen with purples if you’re not careful. I’m going to use the color “Sand in the Glass”. I’m using an angled brush for this.

ImageImage

Now it’s time to start with the color. On a flat shader brush, I’m going to take the bright purple in the palette called “Mystical Wonder”. You want to pat, not rub, this color on the eyelid where we applied the white base.

ImageImage

To blend this with the inner corner color, take the brush we used to apply the highlight and pat it lightly over the inner part of the purple.

Image

Now for the crease color. I’m taking the color called “Master” on a MAC 217 brush and putting this in my outer V (The outer corner in a sideways V shape) and through my crease.

ImageImage

As you can see, I’m starting about 1/4 of the cay in at my lash line and dragging the color upward as I move outward.

Image

Now I just put the color through my crease.

BLEND!!!!!

Image

For the lower lash line, I’m starting with the Urban Decay 24/7 eyeliner in Asphyxia, a pinkish purple color. Only apply this halfway in.

ImageImageImage

Now with a small brush, I’m taking the darker purple we used and putting that on the outer 1/4 of my eye.

Image

Next apply the lighter purple over the remaining part of the eyeliner.

Image

For the upper lash line, I’m creating a wing with an eyeliner brush and Elf’s cream eyeliner in Black.

Image

To help brighten the eyes a bit more, Take a nude eyeliner, I’m using the Rimmel Scandaleyes eyeliner in Nude, and apply this to the inner waterline. (The space between your lashes and eyeball. If you have overly sensitive eyes, skip this step. I have mildly sensitive eyes and it doesn’t bother me at all.)

Image

Add your favorite Mascara! I used the Covergirl Clump Crusher.

Now for the face. For bronzer, I’m using the one that came in the palette. It is a warm golden, shimmery bronze shade. Apply this in the 3 E motion.

Image

I’m also using the rosy pink blush that came in the palette.

Image

Add your favorite nude or peachy lip product and we’re all done! I hope you enjoyed this post! Thank you for reading! As always, Comment and tell me if you’ve tried out any looks and how they’ve worked for you. Feel free to comment any requests!

Must Have Makeup Brushes!

Hello Lovelies!

Long time no see! I’ve been super busy, but things will be back to normal soon. Anyway, today, i thought i’d share with you my MUST HAVE makeup brushes. Not just the ones I like, but the ones I use EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. Let’s jump right in.

CORRESPONDING VIDEO:http://youtu.be/dUZ27QxQq7E

*FYI* All sigma brushes seen in this video were purchased in a kit, not by themselves.

In no particular order, I’m going to start with my HOLY GRAIL foundation brush, which I’ve raved about for a while now. It is the Real Techniques (created by Samantha Chapman of PixiWoo) Expert Face Brush. This brush applies my foundation so evenly and blends it in perfectly leaving my skin looking flawless. $9.00, ULTA Beauty

Image

Next, I can’t live without my Real Techniques Multi Task Brush. I use this for powder and it picks up the perfect amount of product for setting your foundation. It buffs the powder on leaving an airbrushed finish. LOVE LOVE LOVE. (Comes in a set of 3 brushes) $17.99, ULTA Beauty

Image

Next, for applying bronzer, I love my Sigma Large Powder F20 Brush. It is the perfect size for getting that “glow” without packing on the bronzer. LOVE IT! $25.00, Sigma

Image

For a contouring brush, I’m never without my MAC 168 Large Angled Brush. It is, yet again, the perfect size for contouring and getting to all those small areas of the face. $35.00, MAC

Image

For blush, my must have brush is the Sigma Powder Blush F10 Brush. It’s tightly packed bristles allow for the perfect application of any powder blush product. $18.00, Sigma

Image

For Highlighting, I love my Sigma Tapered Highlighter F35 Brush. It isn’t too big and avoids the “overly highlighted” look and gives a natural glow. $17.00, Sigma

Image

Now for eyeshadow brushes.

For highlighting the eyes, I always use my Tigi Angled Brush. It is not available anymore, but an exact dupe is the MAC 275 ($25.00). This brush can easily get in the inner corner and provides the perfect highlight.  ( I chose a photo of the MAC brush. Again, exact same thing.)

Image

Next, I could not live without my MAC 239 flat shader brush. It applied color to the lid so easily and smoothly. $25, MAC

Image

For crease color and blending, my go-to is the MAC 217 brush. I cannot say enough good things about this brush. It gets in the crease perfectly, and blends flawlessly. LOVE.

Image

For blending eyeshadow, I love my Tigi Blending brush. Again, it is now unavailable, but an exact dupe is the MAC 224 ($24). The perfect blending brush for creating a perfect eye makeup look. (MAC brush pictured)

Image

And that it it for my MUST HAVE brushes! I hope this helped you out if you are unsure on which brushes you need. Check out my video linked at the beginning of this post!

For requests, COMMENT!

Have a lovely Day.
