Sultry Valentines Day Makeup + Outfit Ideas ft. Naked 3

Hey guys!

Today I created a look that is perfct for Valentine’s Day using my Urban Decay Naked 3 palette. I’ve also created a hair idea and two outfit ideas!

Let’s jump right in.

ImageImageImageImage

To start off, I’m filling in my brows with the Anastasia Dip Brow Pomade in Blonde.

ImageImageImage

Next, I’m going to prime my eyes with MAC’s Painterly Paint Pot. This is going to give me a blank canvas to work with.

ImageImage

Now, as always, I’m adding a white cream shadow under my brow and in my inner corners. Just blend that with your ring finger.Image

Now I’m going to take a fluffy angled brush and Strange from the Naked 3 and highlight both of those areas.

ImageImage

Now with a fluffy blending brush, I’m going to softly define the crease with Nooner

ImageImageImage

Now with a flat shader brush, I’m taking Darkside, a deep rosy-gray, and packing this on my lid.

ImageImageImageImage

To brighten up and smoke-out the lid, I’m going to pat a bit of a lighter shimmery rose on the center area.ImageImageImage

Now, in the very center, I’m going to pat a bright glittery rose just to add some dimension.

ImageImageImageImage

Now i’m going to blend the outer edges of the gray with a bronze-y rose, extending it and blending through the crease. You want an ombre effect throughout the crease, but don’t add too much color.ImageImage

To further blend these colors, I’m going to blend it out with a deeper matte rose.

ImageImage

Now, to deepen the outer V, I’m going to take Blackheart, a black with rose glitter, and place, then blend, this in my outer corner.ImageImageImageImageImage

Now I’m taking the bronze shade we used earlier and smudge that on my lower lashline

Image

ImageImage

I added some individual lashes for some added drama. Apply LOTS of black mascara.

ImageImage

For the face, I’m starting with the Hourglass Mineral Veil Primer, then using the Kat Von D Lock it Tattoo Foundation.ImageImageImageImageImageImage

For Bronzer, I’m going to use a cream for an extra glow. I love the Soliel Tan De Chanel for this.

ImageImageImageImageImage

For blush, I’m going to use the Maybelline Master Glaze cream in number 10

ImageImageImage

To set everything, I’m using the new Urban Decay Naked Skin Powder in Naked Light

ImageImageImageImage

For a highlight I’m going to use the Urban Decay Naked highlighter.

ImageImageImage

For lips, I’m going to mix the Revlon Lip Butter in Berry Sorbet and Too Faced lipstick in Marshmallow PinkImageImageImageImageImageImageImage

All done with the Makeup!

ImageImage

I french braided my bangs and the back of my hair into a low ponytail and added a black satin bow.ImageImage

Now for the outfits.

The first idea is more of a date outfit.

I chose this deep red dress with black polka dots from belk over some black leggings. I’m wearing These black low-heel boots and a Jean Jacket over top, due to the weather.ImageImage

Now an outfit for those who have to work on Valentine’s Day. AKA ME.

ImageImageImage

I changed out the dress for this long flowy purple top from Free People. I also switched out the boots for some Sanuks in a tribal print. Cute, yet comfortable.

I hope this helped if you were in a “Heart-Day Rut” or just needed some ideas! Let me know if you try this out! Thanks for reading, an Have a Happy Valentine’s Day!

Current Favorites!

Hey guys!

Today I wanted to share with you the things, beauty related and not, that i’ve been loving over the past weeks. Let’s jump right in.

Okay, so i’ll start with the beauty related items.

ImageImageImage

The NARS one night stand blush palette. I absolutely love this. It has a bronzer, highlighter, and four blush shades. The Highlighter is a new shade, a sandy goldish white color. The bronzer is none other than Laguna, a matte warm bronzer. The blush shades are Angelika, a bright pink with flecks of glitter, Deep throat, a light peachy gold, Orgasm, their famous peachy pink, and Sin, a deep rose gold. So pigmented and easy to use.

$65, Sephora

Next is the eyeshadow palette featured in my last tutorial. The Too Faced “All of my Favorite Things” palette.

ImageImageImageImage

It has a wide range of super rich and pigmented eyeshadows for every occasion. It also comes with a pink plush as well as a peach one. Also, a large pan of their famous “Chocolate Soleil” bronzer, and the Sun Bunny duo bronzing powder.

Next, I’ve been loving th NAKED basics palette by Urban Decay for carving out my crease.

ImageImage

Nice neutral shades for a variety of looks, and the Urban Decay shadows are ALWAYS the best.

Next are my Tweezers. The Tweezerman tweezers are great for….. their purpose! haha

Image

I’ve also been loving the Bobbi Brown eyeshadow in Toast, and the Long wear cream shadow in Sandy Gold.

ImageImage

Image

Image

Image

Image

Now moving on to Non beauty related items, I’ve been loving my Crosley Executive Record Player. Vinyl is making a comeback!

Image

You can also turn Vinyl music into digital with this record player.

Here’s what I’ve been playing most often:

The Beatles “Blue” album:

image

Katy Perry’s Prism:

Image

and Lana Del Rey’s Paradise:

Image

Next, I’ve been loving my custom Beatles Collage phone case that I created on Skinit.com ! They’re not too expensive, and you get a completely CUSTOM phone case for almost any model of phone. Mine is the Gold 5s. You can upload your own pictures to create your case.

Image

Now that we’re on the subject of phones, I’ve also been loving my wallpapers. My lock screen is a VW bus with some psychedelic scenery, and my home screen is… drumroll please, THE BEATLES WEARING FURRY COATS.

Image

Image

Yes, I know I have a TON of unread emails. HAHA

So that’s what I’ve been loving! Hope you enjoyed this!

Brow Routine!

Hi guys!

Today I wanted to show you my quick and easy brow routine. This takes me about a minute in the morning and helps keep my brows looking polished. Eyebrows complete your look and ALWAYS require some attention. I’ll be using the Anastasia Brow Wiz in Ash Blonde, the Anastasia Brow Powder in blonde, and the Clear brow gel.

VIDEO: http://youtu.be/KwFy6vEA258

First, I comb my brows with the brush end of the pencil.

Now let’s talk about the key points of your eyebrow.

To find where the brow should start, line up the edge of the nose with the inner corner of the eye.

Image

For the arch of the brow, line up the nose with the pupil.

Image

For the end of the eyebrow, line up the nose with the outer corner.

Image

Now I’ just going to underline my brow.

Image

For my arch, I’m just going to extend the line from the tail of my brow upward, then connect it with the main part of my brow and fill it in.

ImageImageImage

Clean up any edges with the brush end of the pencil.

Image

Now I’m going to take the powder and the angled brush it came with and fill in any sparse areas for a softer look.

Image

Add some clear brow gel!

Image

Now we’re done!

Let me know if you try this out! Thanks for reading!

Celebrity Saturday- Julianne Hough Copper Smokey Eye!

Hello lovelies!

I’m not sure about you, but I love Julianne Hough! Her makeup is always picture perfect as well!

ImageImageImageImage

I created a gorgeous copper-bronze smokey eye that captures Julianne’s look. It is super simple to accomplish! I used the Lorac Little Black Palette, but I’ll show you drugstore dupes for each color I use. I love this look, and I think it is SO flattering. Let’s jump right in!

CORRESPONDING VIDEO: http://youtu.be/lgP0mmHQnks

Okay, so First, I’m going to prime my eyes with the Lorac eyeshadow primer. Just a translucent primer.

Image

Next, I’m going to take my NYX eyeshadow base (NOT A PRIMER) in white, and apply this in my inner corner and under my brow.

Image

Just blend that out with your finger.

Next, I’m just going to use my face powder under my brow for a matte brow highlight.

ImageImage

For my inner corner, I’m going to use the warm champagne-gold in the Lorac Little Black Palette. A drugstore dupe is the Loreal Infalliable Eyeshadow in Iced Latte.

Image

Image

Here is the drugstore alternative: Image

Okay, next, I’m going to take the light peachy-bronze color and apply this to the middle third of my eye. A drugstore alternative is the Loreal Infalliable eyeshadow in Amber Rush.

Image

Image

Here is the drugstore dupe:Image

Now I’m going to build up the bronze smokiness with the dark coppery-bronze from the palette. From the drugstore, mix Loreal’s amber rush with Milani’s Java Bean to get the same look. also apply this color to the lower lashline.

Image

Image

Here are the drugstore alternatives: ImageImage

Blend any harsh edges.

Image

To darken and smoke out the crease, I’m going to apply the dark, warm, shimmery brown from the palette of my outer V and crease. A drugstore alternative is Milani’s Java Bean.

ImageImage

Here is the drugstore alternative: Image

Eyeliner time! I’m using Rimmel’s black gel eyeliner and creating a SMALL wing.

ImageImage

Add a dark brown liner in between your lashes on the lower lash line.

Image

You can add some false lashes if you want, or go ahead and apply some mascara.

Image

Done with the eyes!

Image

To finish off the rest of my face, I used the Make Up For Ever HD foundation to get the smooth, flawless complexion that Julianne always has.

Image

I added some bronzer to my face as well as the Lorac blush in Ruby Rouge.

Image

Image

And we’re finished! A Julianne Hough Makeup look ready for the Red Carpet. I hope you try this look out, let me know in the comments! Thank you so much for reading! Don’t forget to check out the video!!

Top Overall Eye, Lip & Brush Products

Hello Lovelies!

Today, as promised, I’m here to show you the head-to-head battle of the high end and drugstore eye, lip, and brush favorites of mine! Let’s jump right in!

First, I mentioned Primers. Drugstore: Wet n’ Wild primer by Fergie. High End: MAC Painterly Paint Pot.

ImageImage

In comparison, these are two completely different. The Wet n’ Wild primer is more watery, or liquidy. The MAC is obviously more of a cream. Also, the MAC is nude-colored. The Wet n’ Wild is translucent. It depends on what you’re looking for in a primer, but most of the time, I go with the MAC paint pot. $15, MAC

Now for Loose, or pigment, eyeshadow. Drugstore:NYX Pearl Mania Shadow. High End: MAC Pigment (My favorite color is Vanilla.)

ImageImage

These are both truly awesome. The NYX is a bit more glittery, and the MAC more opaque. In this case, it comes down to glitter and color preference. The NYX come in several super glittery colors, while the MAC ones come in a MASSIVE range of colors in finishes ranging from glitter, to satin, to even matte. I use both so often, i feel it is up to you!

Now for pressed single eyeshadow. Drugstore: L’Oreal Infalliable. High End: MAC single eyeshadows. (Expensive pink is my favorite!)

ImageImage

These are both absolutely amazing. They are both velvety and pigmented, however, I find myself reaching for MAC more often than not. MAC’s color selection and quality are really unbeatable. Am I saying that the L’Oreal aren’t good? ABSOLUTELY NOT. They’re both great and I use each on a daily basis. I just feel that I’m never disappointed with MAC. Each are great, however, I use MAC more often. $15, MAC.

Now For eyeshadow palettes. Drugstore: Wet n’ Wild. High End: Urban Decay (specifically the Naked 1).

ImageImage

I have an obsession with eyeshadow palettes. These are both awesome, but I absolutely cannot get enough of the Urban Decay Palettes. I’m on my second Naked 1 palette. The texture and formula remind me soooooo much of MAC! These are both great options, but I usually go with Urban Decay.

Liquid Eyeliner! Drugstore: L’Oreal Super Slim. High End: Urban Decay 24/7 Liquid

ImageImage

The UD formula is a bit more watery, while the L’Oreal is like a marker. Based on easiness to apply and my personal preference, I like the L’Oreal!

Pencil Eyeliner: Drugstore: NYX Slide On Eye Pencil. High End: Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Eye Pencil,

ImageImage

These are EXACT DUPES for each other! That’s right… THE URBAN DECAY EYELINERS HAVE DUPES!! Pick based on color preference! Both are awesome!

MASCARAAAA! Drugstore: Covergirl Clump Crusher & L’Oreal Telescopic Carbon Black.   High End: MAC Extra Dimension Lash & Clinique High Impact Curling.

ImageImage

ImageImage

These are all great Mascaras! I’m going to pick a favorite drugstore and high end, since I chose 4! From the drugstore, the best all around is the Covergirl Clump Crusher. Two Coats and you’ve got pretty, long, thick, clump free lashes. From a high end brand, The two are actually quite similar!

LIPSTICK TIME! Drugstore: Revlon Lip Butter. High End: MAC Lipsticks.

ImageImage

Can you tell I like peachy-pink lips? HAHA. MAC is definitely going to be the longer- lasting, more opaque, wider color selection option. Revlon for moisturizing, natural-looking color. In the cooler months, I love nothing more than a MAC lipstick. In the warmer months, I like a nice, moisturizing Lip Butter. Which do you prefer?

Long-Lasing Lipgloss. Drugstore: Rimmer Showoff Lip Laquer. High End: Mac Pro Long Wear Lip Glass.

ImageImage

The Mac can be a bit goopy if you’re not careful, but it lasts 5-6 hours. The Rimmel, on the other hand, is creamy and light on the lips. I usually reach for the Rimmel.

Regular Lipgloss.  Drugstore: Rimmel Stay Glossy. High End: MAC Lipglass/gloss/cremesheen/dazleglass.  (SO MANY OPTIONS)

ImageImage

When it comes down to it, MAC has a wider color selection with more opaque options, while the Rimmel glosses are great for a light dash of color on the lips.

Brushes. Drugstore: Real Techniques. High End: MAC.

ImageImage

I use both types EVERY SINGLE DAY, however, I use more MAC than Real techniques. I was sort of, raised on MAC, so to speak. BOth are awesome, nevertheless.

And that’s it for my favorites face-off! I hope this helped you out! Comment and requests as always, and tell me if you’ve tried out a look or any of these products and your thoughts. Thank you so much for reading!

Top High End Eye, Lip, and Brush products!

Hi lovelies!

Last time I’ll be absent for awhile! Promise!

Today I’d like to follow up my previous post with my favorite High End Eye, lip, and brush products! I hope this helps you out!

Okay, so again, I’m starting with the order that I apply these things to my face, which means primer comes first.

My favorite high end primer is the MAC Painterly Paint Pot.

Image

This is a nude base that allows for more vibrant color application and crease-less all day wear. I love all the MAC paint pots, which all work as primers, but painterly is my most-used. $15, MAC

For a loose eyeshadow, my favorite is the MAC line of pigments, and my favorite color is Vanilla.

Image

Coming in at $21, these velvety pigments offer EXCELLENT color payoff with the right amount of shine. Vanilla is a warm, gold-toned white, but the color options are endless with MAC. LOVE LOVE LOVE.

For eyeshadows, I can’t help but choose the MAC single eyeshadows. My favorite is Expensive Pink.

Image

With MAC, what you see is HONESTLY what you get. The colors they have will blow your mind. They are extremely velvety, smooth, pigmented, and long-wearing. A must have, in my opinion. Expensive Pink will compliment Blue and Green eyes BEAUTIFULLY! It will look awesome on any eye color, nevertheless. At $15, you cannot go wrong with MAC.

For an eyeshadow palette, I have to go with any of the Urban Decay Palettes. My HOLY GRAIL palette is the Naked 1 palette.

Image

Yes, $50 from your local Sephora is pricey, but I love this particular palette so much I’m on my SECOND one! I’ve never used a palette up except for this one. The Urban Decay shadows remind me so much of MAC, it’s unbelievable. Any palette you get from Urban Decay will be a winner, but the Naked 1 is my favorite.

Liquid Liner Time! My favorite are the Urban Decay 24/7 liquid liners.

Image

They come in SO MANY COLORS, and they’re the best for any colored liner look. The pigmentation and formula are great.  $19, Sephora

For Pencil liner, I love the Urban Decay 24/7 liners in the pencil version.

Image

These creamy pencils come in all the colors of the rainbow… AND MORE! haha. I love the rich and creamy formula that allows for a glide on eyeliner look in seconds. for $19, they’re worth every penny.

For mascara, again, I allowed myself two choices. I love the MAC Extra Dimension Lash and the Clinique High Impact Curling.

Image MAC, $20

ImageClinique, $16

The Mac Mascara offers a long wearing dramatic lash look great for any occasion.

The Clinique mascara’s curved wand and tube-creating formula offers long curled lashes great for anytime.

Love them both!

For Lipstick, My favorite are the MAC lipsticks.

Image

I cannot pick a favorite color, because I love every shade I’ve tried! This is Viva Glam Nicki, my most-reached for color. The Mac lipsticks come in a variety of colors and finishes, making it easy to find one for each occasion. Cannot go wrong!! LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!!!  $15

For long-wearing lip gloss, I like the MAC ProLongwear Lipglosses. My favorite is Persistent Peach.

Image

You’re going to think I’m lying, but these babies will last me 5 hours with no touch ups. It’s absolutely incredible. The opacity is unbelievable and the color selection is great. LOVE. $20

For a regular lipgloss, I love the MAC lipgloss/glass/dazzleglass lines. (Any MAC lipgloss!!) This one is my all time favorite, Pink Poodle.

Image

I love love love any Mac Lip Gloss. They are awesome for color, payoff, and staying power. Truly cannot go wrong.

Last but not least, My favorite High end brushes are the MAC brushes. I absolutely love them . They’re what I started out with, and will continue to use!

Image

My favorite eye brushes are pictured above, but I’m a fan of each and every Mac brush I get. (Prices Vary).

Thank you so much for reading! I hope this helped you out! Don’t forget to look for my post comparing the high end and drugstore products. Have a lovely Day! Comment any requests!

Top Drugstore Eye, Lip, & Brush Products!

Hi Lovelies!

As promised, I’m going to show you the Eye, Lip, and Brush product favorites from  the drugstore and high end brands, then compare the two! Today I have my drugstore favorites. I hop this helps you out!Let’s jump right in.

Again, I’ll go by the order I would apply these products. That means primer is first!

My favorite drugstore eye primer is the Wet n Wild Fergie primer.

ImageImage

This primer goes on translucent and does exactly what it claims: Keeps your eyeshadow on for hours without creasing!  $4.99, Walgreens

For eyeshadow, I chose a pigment (loose shadow)  a single shadow, and eyeshadow palette.

For an eyeshadow pigment, I love the NYX Ultra Pearl Mania Pigments.

Image

for only $4 from ulta, these deliver the perfect amount of color and glitter to make any eye color pop. They are a bit harder to use than a pressed powder, but I absolutely love these!

For single eyeshadow, no surprise, I love the L’Oreal Infalliable eyeshadows.

Image

These shadows are so shimmery and pigmented, they’re hard to beat from the drugstore. Their staying power is amazing as well. They have a nice color selection too! LOVE LOVE LOVE. $7.95, Walgreens.

For eyeshadow Palettes, I love the Wet n Wild eyeshadow palettes.

Image

My most used 8 pan palette, shown above, is in the color sparkle til morning. I love the formula of these eyeshadows. They’re so pigmented, and they give you some great neutrals as well as colors to play up an everyday look. For the price, how can you beat it?? $10, Walgreens

For eyeliner in a liquid form, of course, is my L’Oreal The Super Slim Liquid Liner.

Image

The rich black color and easy application is something that I’ve finally found in this liner. it IS my HOLY GRAIL!!!!  $7.99, Walgreens

Next, for a pencil liner, I LOVE the NYX Glide On Eye Pencil. This one is in Brown Perfection.

Image

These are DUPES for the Urban Decay 24/7 liners. LOVE LOVE LOVE the formulation and color selection. Truly cannot go wrong! $8, Ulta

For Mascara, I allowed myself 2 favorites considering Mascara is my Kryptonite.

I chose the L’Oreal Telescopic Carbon Black, and the Covergirl Clump Crusher.

ImageImage

These are both long time favorites of mine. I feel like drugstore mascaras are really great once you find what you’re looking for. The L’Oreal Telescopic offers MEGA length, but not so much Volume, where the Covergirl is a great all around Mascara. They are both $7.99, Walgreens.

For Lipstick, I love the Revlon Lip Butters.

Image

For only $6.99 from your local drugstore, these offer the best in hydration and color payoff. With such a wide color range, you can’t go wrong! My favorite color is Peach Parfait.

For a long wearing lip gloss formula, I am OBSESSED with the Rimmel Show off Lip glosses.

Image

My Aunt and I LOVE these! The color payoff and staying power are AMAZING and I cannot say enough good things about them! $8.99, Walgreens.

For a lipgloss that isn’t so super long wearing, I love the Rimmel Stay Glossy Lip Glosses.

Image

These are the perfect creamy, not too sticky lip gloss to get a polished, put together look. $7.99, Walgreens.

For Brushes, my favorite line of drugstore brushes are the Real Techniques by Samantha Chapman brushed found at Ulta.

Image

These duo-fibre brushes offer the best application you can get from the drugstore. They are AMAZING. They have anything from face to eye brushes and i LOVE them!!!
(Prices range)

And that is it for my drugstore favorites!

I hope this helps you out if you are trying to find some new favorites!

Thanks for reading!

Now for Bronzing and Contouring. My favorite Bronzer is the Clinique True Bronze in 02.

Image

Just the perfect bronzer to create a natural sunkissed glow! $25, Clinique

For Contouring, I love the Benefit Hoola Bronzer.

Top Drugstore Face Products!

Hi Lovelies!

Today I’m starting a new set of videos showing you my favorite high end and drugstore products. Today I’ll be showing you my favorite drugstore face products, and on thursday I’ll show you my top high end face products. Then. I’ll do a video comparing the products. Next week, I’ll do the same for Eye, Lip, and Face products. Let’s jump right in!

CORRESPONDING VIDEO:Top Drugstore FACE Products!

Okay, so I’m going to start in the order that  I would put these things on in the morning, meaning I’ll start with face primer. My favorite Drugstore face primer is the L’Oreal Magic Perfecting Base.

images images-2 images-1

It feels almost like a creamy foam if that makes any sense, but I just apply this where I have problems with pores or redness. It works well with my oily skin. My aunt, who has drier skin, also loves this product. It just helps your face products, whether you apply foundation, bb cream, powder, or whatever your preference is, apply more smoothly. It looks to be a light pinkish color, but blends in translucently. It claims to minimize pores (IT DOES!), and reduce the look of fine lines and wrinkles. I’m a teenager, so I don’t have fine lines and wrinkles yet, however,  I’m definitely a fan of this primer.   $9.99, Target

For foundation, I’m loving the Revlon Colorstay Whipped foundation.

images-4 images-3 images-5

I bought this on a whim, but have been extremely impressed with it. It is a medium to full coverage foundation that doesn’t feel as heavy as some foundations do. It gives me a flawless finish and lasts for HOURS. It controls the oil in my skin, but has also been shown to work on dry skin as well. I really like the way this blends into my skin. Although it feels a bit heavy when you apply it, that feeling goes away after blending it in. Also, If you’ve tried the original revlon colorstay, this foundation gives you a LOT more time to blend the product in before drying. LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS!   $10.99, Target

I also chose to include a BB Cream from the drugstore along with a foundation. If you don’t know what a BB Cream is, it is basically a skin treatment and foundation/tinted moisturizer all in one. They originated in Asia, but American Cosmetic companies have come out with american versions of the product. BB cream stands for blemish balm, but the products also help hydrate the skin and keep it healthy overall. My favorite BB cream from the drugstore is the Physicians Formula Super BB Cream.

images Unknown

This BB Cream is, in one word, AWESOME. I absolutely love the light texture it has. It does, however, offer medium buildable coverage. I like the way it gives me a naturally flawless finish. They have two colors: Light medium, and Medium dark, but it blends effortlessly into the skin allowing for your skin to match it with itself. I have pretty fair skin, and the light medium blended with my skin perfectly. I love this BB Cream! $13, Target

For Face Powder, I love the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder.

Unknown-1

This is a translucent setting powder that doesn’t cake up, but also controls the oil on my skin. Rimmel is one of my favorite drugstore brands, and I was definitely not let down when I purchased this powder.  It has a creamy velvety texture that I absolutely love.  $4.00, Target

For Concealer, I love the Maybelline Dream Lumi Touche Highlighting Concealer in Radiant.

images-2 images-3

I like this concealer for highlighting my under eye area and my cheekbones. The pinky-salmon color helps counteract the deep purple tones of dark circles or a dark eye area. This Concealer works wonders for the under eye area. $7.99, Ulta

For Bronzing and Contouring, I like one product for both from the drugstore. I use the L’Oreal True Match Super Blendable Powder in Mahogany.

Unknown-2

This powder is cool enough to contour, yet warm enough to use as a bronzer. It doesn’t look to harsh on my pale skin and just gives me a bronzed glow.  $10, Ulta

For blush, I chose a cream and powder blush depending on your preference. My favorite Cream blush is the whole like of Maybelline Dream Bouncy Blushes.Unknown-3 images-4

These blushes have a really interesting “bouncy” texture and apply sheer allowing for buildable coverage depending on the look you desire. I  love the color selection they have available and these also hold up very well on my oily skin, and are also perfect for dry skin. LOVE LOVE LOVE. $6.00, Target.

For powder blush, I love the line of NYX powder blushes.

Unknown-2 images-2

They are extremely velvety and easy to apply. They color selection is AMAZING. They have colors to suit every skin tone. I LOVE THESE. $6.00, Ulta

For highlighter, I chose a liquid primer that I actually use as a highlighter. It is the L’Oreal Magic Lumi Light Infusing Primer.

Unknown-5 Unknown-3

This “highlighter” gives a natural radiant glow without looking too shimmery. You can use this on the tops of your cheekbones after foundation, as I do, as a primer, it’s intended use, or mix it in with foundation for a radiant glow. Love this. $10, Target

Last but not least, is BROWS. Eyebrows, to me, are an extremely important component of the face and can really complete a look. My favorite drugstore brow product is the NYX eyebrow pencil.

Celebrity Saturday 3- Jennifer Lawrence Makeup!

Hi lovelies!

ImageImage

For my third Celeb Saturday, I decided to recreate J-Law’s iconic smokey bronze makeup. I think she’s hilarious and I love her makeup! This look is SUPER SUPER simple and quick! Let’s jump right in!

CORRESPONDING VIDEO:Celeb Saturday 3- Jennifer Lawrence Makeup!

Okay, to begin, I primed my eyes with wet’n wild’s Fergie eyeshadow primer. Any translucent primer or base will do.

Image

Next, from my Naked2 palette, I’m going to take Foxy on an angled brush and apply that to my browbone. Any Matte color that matches your skin tone will do.

Image

Next, I’m going to take that same brush with L’Oreal’s infalliable eyeshadow in Iced Latte and pop that in my inner corner.

ImageImage

This next step is completely optional, but for some added smokiness at my lashline, I’m taking Maybelline’s color tattoo in Bad To The Bronze, and just smudging that on my lashline with my finger.

ImageImage

Next, to bronze up the lid, I’m taking MAC’s Elite eyeshadow on a 239 brush and patting this on the inner 3/4 of my lid.

ImageImage

Now on the same brush, I’m taking MAC’s Woodwinked eyeshadow and patting this in my outer corner and roughly through my crease. This color is just a bit darker than Elite.

ImageImage

I also smudged that color on my lower lashline.

Now, I’m blending that crease color with my Sigma blending brush.

Image

Now with Milani’s eyeshadow in Java Bean and my MAC 217 brush, I’m going to deepen my crease a bit more.

ImageImage

Now deepen the lower lashline with a matte black.

Image

Line your upper lashline just as you would normally, with no wing.

Image

Take a small brush and a matte black and just smoke out the liner slightly.

Image

Mascara Time! I’m using MAC’s extra dimension lash in black, a new one I’m testing, but use whichever is your favorite. Covergirl Clump Crusher would be great.

Image

Now You’re done! Add some bronzer and a peachy blush to create your Jennifer Lawrence look!

Thank you for reading! Remember to ALWAYS comment requests for future posts.

Empties! Products I’ve Used Up&Thoughts

Hi Guys!

Sorry I’ve been absent lately, I’ve been one busy girl!

Today I thought I’d share with you the products I’ve used up in the past month and my thoughts on these products. Keep in mind, I’ve repurchased some of these products and will be showing you the new ones because I’ve already tossed the old. Let’s jump right in!

CORRESPONDING VIDEO: Empties! Products I’ve Used Up

The first product I’ve used up is my Clinique Acne Solutions Foundation.

Image

I’ve used numerous tubes of this product and will continue to repurchase it. It makes my skin have a flawless airbrushed look, doesn’t cake up of feel heavy, and treats my acne. Definitely my favorite foundation.

$23.00, Clinique

Next, is my Urban Decay Eyeshadow in Zephyr.

Image

This is a bright white shimmery color with a hint of gold. This is my go-to inner corner shade when I want to brighten up my eyes. I truly love the formula of the Urban Decay eyeshadows, and this color is definitely one of my favorites. I’m starting on my 3rd one!

$18.00, Urban Decay

Next, to no surprise, is my NYX jumbo eyeshadow pencil in Milk.

Image

This is just a white cream shadow that I use EVERY SINGLE DAY in my inner corner and under my eyebrow before applying a shadow, but after a primer. This color is perfect for brightening up the eyes and creating a subtle highlight. LOVE LOVE LOVE.

$5.00, Ulta

Next, I sort of have two things in one. First of all, I used up my ENTIRE Urban Decay Naked Palette. The first one. But also, the first color to go in my second palette is the color “Virgin”.

ImageImage

First of all, I cannot thank my aunt ENOUGH for getting me the Naked palette a few years ago. THANK YOU AUNTIE ANN!!!  I have a love affair with this palette. The colors are perfect to create anything from a natural daytime eye, to a deep dark smokey eye. Hopefully my using up and entire palette is an indication of just how much I love this palette. And the color virgin, second picture far left eyeshadow, is always the first one to be used. It is a light peachy white shimmery highlighting shade that suits any skin tone and just gives a natural glow. If I don’t stop raving over this palette now, I’ll never stop.

$50.00, Sephora (pricey but SO SO SO worth it!!)

Next, is my Clinique True Bronze Bronzer in 02.

Image

Love Love LOVE this bronzer for getting a nice sunkissed glow without looking fake-orange. It’s just the perfect bronzer for me.

$25.00, Clinique

Next is the L’Oreal Carbon Black Lineur Intense. Regardless of not knowing how to pronounce it’s full name, I used the product up! haha

Image

It is what it claims to be: a carbon black liquid liner. I love this eyeliner, do not get me wrong, but I do not see myself repurchasing this in the future due to the fact that I have found my true eyeliner love: L’Oreal the Super Slim liquid eyeliner. While I did enjoy using the Lineur Intense, It is a bit watery and harder to create a precise line.

$7.00, Ulta

Next is my true love in eyeliner form, as mentioned above, the L’Oreal the Super Slin Liquid Eyeliner in Black.

Image

This product is like a marker, and is the easiest liner i’ve ever applied. Rich, dark color and super staying power. Need I say more?

$8.99, Ulta

Next is Clinique’s eyeshadow in Lucky Penny.

Image

This was one of the first eyeshadows I ever used, and still one of my favorites. It’s pretty taupe-y bronze shimmer creates a natural, yet polished look all on it’s own. LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE L-O-V-E LOVE.

$15.00, Clinique

Next, I have my Cover Fx Clear Prep Anti-Acne Primer.

Image

This face primer applies warm, which I’m not a huge fan of, but I feel like it didn’t effect my acne enough for the price. While it was a good primer, my Smashbox Photo Finish Light controls my oil better and seems to be longer lasting.

Clear Prep: $38.00, Sephora

Next is my MAC blotting powder.

Image

It is exactly what it claims to be: a translucent blotting powder that controls my oil. Love this.

$24.00, MAC

Next is my MAC Studio Sculpt Concealer

Image

Although opaque, I felt like the consistency of this concealer was a bit too heavy and oily for my skin. I’m sure it would be great on drier skins, but for me, I don’t think I’ll be repurchasing this product.

$25.00, MAC

And that is it for my Empties! I hope you enjoyed it! Thank you SO SO SO much for reading.

Check out the video linked at the beginning of this post!

Must Have Makeup Brushes!

Hello Lovelies!

Long time no see! I’ve been super busy, but things will be back to normal soon. Anyway, today, i thought i’d share with you my MUST HAVE makeup brushes. Not just the ones I like, but the ones I use EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. Let’s jump right in.

CORRESPONDING VIDEO:http://youtu.be/dUZ27QxQq7E

*FYI* All sigma brushes seen in this video were purchased in a kit, not by themselves.

In no particular order, I’m going to start with my HOLY GRAIL foundation brush, which I’ve raved about for a while now. It is the Real Techniques (created by Samantha Chapman of PixiWoo) Expert Face Brush. This brush applies my foundation so evenly and blends it in perfectly leaving my skin looking flawless. $9.00, ULTA Beauty

Image

Next, I can’t live without my Real Techniques Multi Task Brush. I use this for powder and it picks up the perfect amount of product for setting your foundation. It buffs the powder on leaving an airbrushed finish. LOVE LOVE LOVE. (Comes in a set of 3 brushes) $17.99, ULTA Beauty

Image

Next, for applying bronzer, I love my Sigma Large Powder F20 Brush. It is the perfect size for getting that “glow” without packing on the bronzer. LOVE IT! $25.00, Sigma

Image

For a contouring brush, I’m never without my MAC 168 Large Angled Brush. It is, yet again, the perfect size for contouring and getting to all those small areas of the face. $35.00, MAC

Image

For blush, my must have brush is the Sigma Powder Blush F10 Brush. It’s tightly packed bristles allow for the perfect application of any powder blush product. $18.00, Sigma

Image

For Highlighting, I love my Sigma Tapered Highlighter F35 Brush. It isn’t too big and avoids the “overly highlighted” look and gives a natural glow. $17.00, Sigma

Image

Now for eyeshadow brushes.

For highlighting the eyes, I always use my Tigi Angled Brush. It is not available anymore, but an exact dupe is the MAC 275 ($25.00). This brush can easily get in the inner corner and provides the perfect highlight.  ( I chose a photo of the MAC brush. Again, exact same thing.)

Image

Next, I could not live without my MAC 239 flat shader brush. It applied color to the lid so easily and smoothly. $25, MAC

Image

For crease color and blending, my go-to is the MAC 217 brush. I cannot say enough good things about this brush. It gets in the crease perfectly, and blends flawlessly. LOVE.

Image

For blending eyeshadow, I love my Tigi Blending brush. Again, it is now unavailable, but an exact dupe is the MAC 224 ($24). The perfect blending brush for creating a perfect eye makeup look. (MAC brush pictured)

Image

And that it it for my MUST HAVE brushes! I hope this helped you out if you are unsure on which brushes you need. Check out my video linked at the beginning of this post!

For requests, COMMENT!

Have a lovely Day.
